Summary:
|
Education Code requires that Governing Boards hold an annual organizational meeting and that each member of the Board be notified in writing of the date and time selected. The organizational meeting must be held at the beginning of December, within fifteen days commencing with and including the first Friday in December. The organizational meeting must be selected by the Board at its regular meeting held immediately prior to the first day of this 15-day period.
The following items must be determined at our organizational meeting:
1. Election of Clerk of the District
2. Election of a President
3. Election of a Vice President (district policy)
4. Selection of school district representatives. Each representative elector shall have one vote for each vacant position to be filled at the election of members to the County Committee on School District Organization.
