Summary: The district has worked in the past with both SVEA and CSEA to hold a reception for employees who have worked for Silver Valley Unified School District and are retiring.

The reception is an opportunity for staff from all sites to come together and honor employees who have devoted so many years to the education of our students. Employees who have been employed with the district for ten years or more will receive a Golden Bell, engraved with their name, the district name, and the years of service at Silver Valley.
Funding: The cost is split between SVEA, CSEA and the district, generally not exceeding approximately $100 for each organization.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Governing Board approve to hold the reception for retiring employees on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, and to cover all related expenses split between SVEA, CSEA and the District.
