Summary:
|
Silver Valley USD currently utilizes two different alarm companies to monitor and maintain the intrusion and fire alarms. These systems are in need of repairs, and ultimately system upgrades.
Mijac Alarm company is able to take over alarm monitoring, make the needed repairs and plan for future upgrades. For intrusion, Mijac will update the panels, so they can be administered via a network device, allowing for easier management of alarm codes. Expensive phone lines will be replaced with cellular technology, which is more reliable and less expensive. All devices and sensors will be tested and checked to ensure the system is functioning properly. For the fire alarm, Mijac will check and repair the current system to ensure it is operating and communicating properly and in compliance with NFPA standards. Phone lines will be replaced with cellular technology.
Mijac will also takeover the alarm monitoring, and be the responsible vendor in charge of alerting authorities and SVUSD administration. Mijac also provides ongoing NFPA 72 compliance testing for the fire alarm system, if we choose this service.
